Schön ergreifend und in "bunten" Grautönen gehalten. Wunderbar!

Rainy Sunday

I loved hearing the rain at night. At the daytime I enjoyed the Saltimbocca - delicious!

Lutz has made his famous carrot cake und a delicious roast meat. yummi, yummi!

Yesterday my sewing machine was activated after a long time of cessation. Here is the result.

In  the nearby parc - the stadtpark -  a couple is watching over the public swim bath. 

They are opponent and quite far away from each other. Beautiful figures made of bronze.

On Friday it's been the exhibition "Miracles" in the Deichtorhallen here in Hamburg. Which was very entertaining and had a great variety of objects. And it's always great to participate.

Saturday brought sunshine and a relaxing walk around the Grindelviertel.

Sunday I enjoyed my morning run through the Hafencity and the best carrot-cake ever made by Lutz!

Monday it was great seeing the first christmasmarket in this year.

I saw this film by von Trier and was I impressed by its extremely sensitive colours and moods.
Great picture, even though I am not a fan of Lars von Trier, especially after his stupid and distasteful speech.

Reminder 23.October 2011

Today I copied the first picture of the Jonah Cycle. It doesn't look excactly the same but it gives a good impressions of this piece of art by Frutiger. The cycle includes eighteen drawings. Maybe I do some more every now and then. So have a look back at he 23rd of October.

Partners in Colour

Today I was wearing a shirt in a summer green and on the top a light jumper in an earthy blue. It really matched beautifully and was a delight to my eyes.

Autum Impressions

Spending some days on the countryside with my family,

every walk is an impressive event

filled with autum colours and smells.

My today "treasure treasure" is Elsa (the dog) meeting the sea and its waves.

Jonah Cycle by Adrian Frutiger

By chance I took a look at Adrian Frutigers artbook, 

a famous typeface designer. He also created signs and symbols. But my today's treasure is definitely his interpretation 

of the story of Jonah. -This is the first picture.

"Now the word of the lord came to Jonah, saying:

"Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city,

and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up

before Me."

And Jonah departed but not to Nineveh. 

He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarnish.

Friday followup

On friday I would like to quote Gretchen Rubin, who spend a year on her happiness-project. It finally it sums up to these principles:

Sleep and coffee

Today I felt like sleeping - so did I! 

I left bed at 10 o'clock - 

which is really late in my daily routine - 

anyway, it felt good and instead of drinking one coffee, 

I had two today. 

And I listened to some old Kate Bush songs.

Wow - so many different ways to start the day. 

This start felt good.

Sunflower Seeds

They were out of stock for a long time - I guess some years - now there are back again and I bought two tins of sunflower seeds roasted with honey. 

Weekend followup

Here are the weekend treasures. 

On Saturday it has been the marvellous sunset reflexing in the front building. 

 

On Sunday this plant called "Pfaffenhütchen" with its 

spectacular colours. (The one in the background)                                 

Warmth

I don't have to wait until the day passes by

- it's definitely clear, 

that my today's massage 

was the best ever!

It's a pity! I forgot my camera at a friends place, 

so I won't be able to show you my impressions 

of the day until the next weekend.

But I should find alternatives.

Whilst looking for a cloak hanger 

in a trendy furniture shop around the corner,

I saw this great decoration, 

great for the colours choosen,

a simple and inexpensive way for decoration.

Look at these great trees, 

standing in the water, 

with those  terrific colours!

I discovered them on my walk through the park. 

I have been there quite often, 

but they revealed themselves just today! 

Lucky me.

Surprise

Hi, today has been a quite rainy and dark day. 

All of sudden there it was: The sun! 

It appeared at 17.15 and it floated my flat.

Treasures
